No-nonsense Football produces victory over ULL Rajun Cajuns If not for the first quarter in which FAU scored two touchdowns, the Owls may have been on the losing end of this contest. And if it had not been for the Rajun Cajuns’ need for late game heroics – they may have gone on to overtime to decide this mash up.
FAU went on to score a third touchdown in quarter number three, followed by a field goal late in quarter number four. In that winding down of the clock in the last quarter, the Cajuns attempted a two point conversion.
After their last touch down, ULL thought they could pull away by one, a resultant production of the conversion.
Subsequently with that lead and using the clock to their advantage, they were for sure slated for victory over these Florida Atlantic University Owls, and their 12,044 faith full.
What amounted to sure genius, composure and great leadership from Coach Howard Schnellenberger and his staff, the chances ULL took, ended in a wrong turn to their two point hopes.
Some of the numbers broke down this way. (See: http://tinyurl.com/2aubwmz) You may view the compilation of the season thus far; players and media guide here (http://fausports.com/).
With three straight victories, can we agree that FAU’s Bowl chances rise each time they score a victory? Yes, perhaps.
Texas this weekend shall be a great challenge. Just don’t tell these Owls they can’t steal a victory in Texas this Saturday versus the Long Horns.
