Owls stopped in flight versus Siena at Times Union Center, Albany, NY

Although the Owls were just stopped this evening, the team may have taken away a measure of respect and dignity plus character by coming back from 15 points with 5:28 remaining in regulation.

The Owls began to chip away at Siena’s lead, with a layup from Jordan McCoy and assist from Shavar Richardson. McCoy was at it again with a point from the foul line, and a defensive rebound followed by another layup, bringing the Siena lead to 10 points with 4:46 remaining.

McCoy was not finished as he collected a rebound on the offensive end followed by another jumper for two.

Shavar Richardson was next, with his vision and shooting prowess was on the end of a three pointer.

Ken LaVicka (ESPN 760) was on the call and the back and forth rallying were palpable as LaVicka led us on a journey to the come back.

At four seconds remaining in the game, FAU managed to whittle the difference in favor of Sienna by 2 points.

LaVicka asked Coach Jarvis about this exchange, and Jarvis replied that four seconds is plenty of time to get down the court and score a layup.

The last possession for the Owls was a missed three pointer, and that sealed the victory for Sienna - final score 72-69.
