Dissapointment

Disappointment is a lot like an opportunity. Had it not come up, which way would you have moved? If it gives rise to putting you into action, would you agree that it is a failure turned good? For every hurdle you pass, more come from behind and pass you, and then you start catching up again.

Just like the human condition, we are trained as children to get past our failures and move above and beyond. This includes taking well thought out ideas and turning them into reality.

                                                                             The Journey

Some say the Journey can often be a long and arduous one, especially when the accomplishments are great. The questions usually end at a point, which give you experience to accomplish more. For different people it leads to different places and some, different meanings. Although collectively we can come to agreements, each one of us have different paths in mind and on paper. In order to accomplish things separately from one another, trust is at issue. One may say there’s strength in numbers. This tends to be the case for the owner, it is a little different for the worker. As a business owner, trust becomes essential, and if workers have a stake in ownership – it can make distrust vanish. As long as the worker feels like they are not wasting their time, strength in numbers can be a powerful force.

Here is some food for thought in accomplishing your goals. Let’s say you start a project. At some point you begin to find there is a stale mate and you feel like something is in your way. You’ll begin to figure out that if you pickup on another idea, you may stop the one for now, and delve into a new line of thought. This is just one reason why School can be brilliant. When you go to school, you usually carry a few different subjects. So then would it be fair to say you may carry a few different business ideas while working on them alternately? Some would agree that this even amps up the current goal your struggling with. By opening your mind to a better way of doing things, you begin to branch out your new learned lesson.

All businesses need strongholds they can attach themselves to. Putting your own spin on the idea landscape can differentiate your ideas from others and make them yours. As stated above, you may carry many different business strategies. Escaping in the mind can bring wonderful new visions you may dream of. Allowing idea's to flow through the mind and organize your strengths and thoughts can be a primary goal. The next move is to put your ideas on paper and see if they make sense to you and maybe even others. Making powerful statements to yourself while imagining is a good idea. Saying to yourself you would like to be relevant in the 21st Century business landscape is a far reaching goal. Re-visiting the beginning of this document about needing to take the little steps along the way can be a positive force for reaching your goals.

You'll also need to monetize your business and in some way make some money from the idea or it's creation. Let me tell you I have been volunteering for many years, and it has helped me develop what buttons to push for myself in finding my love of certain things. I can tell you in some ways by not monetizing my ideas has hurt me and effected parts of the process. So make sure there is money in it for you. Be proud of your business or practice and stand for what you beleive in. It's not a shame to say their is no money in it for me, and I should try different ideas, or even to create a money need based ideas for others to get on board with you.

Why being open minded can lead to success

It's not an uncommon phrase coined by our forefathers that being open minded can lead to success. The exchange of information and preeminent communications are at the heart of many thriving companies in the world today. Open communications are what we mean when we say the give and take or back and forth exchange of information between parties, people and groups. One of my competitors or shall I say, business partners claims that combining forces in business makes a stronger impact on the marketplace. I couldn't agree more with him. Unfortunantly, at the time I was approached by this partner to combine forces, I was a little too protective of my own capital to discuss a it with another person. Also know that businesses can be analyzed for it's successes and failures, and it's movement forward in a positive direction when you sense you've taken a few steps back.. Simply put, business is fluid. It moves along daily and the owners job is to put it in it's right place to continue to thrive and grow every day. At this point, I would like to direct you to a few books which were penned by business greats Dale Carnegie, Napolean Hill and Russell Simmonds on their individual theories of success. Each one of these authors have moved along business theories at light speed, and there are a few books you can read to get a sense of where we've been over the past fifty years or so. Simmonds' book “Super Rich” deals with entrepenuers on the move. Simmonds has promoted great acts including Run DMC, the Beastie Boys and LL Cool Jay among many others. He has led each one of these acts to success while creating a clothing line for the Hip Hop industry. The clothing line reaches for not just the Hip Hop community, it reaches far and wide and is a Universal form of Clothing for the world round. Napolean Hill's famous book called “think and grow rich” has sold over a million copies to date. The predesessor to Hill, was the author Dale Carnegie. Carnegie wrote the book “how to win friends and influence people” (1936). Each of these authors have had a great impact in the marketplace and are responsible for selling millions of copies of books ten times over.
