FAU closes out the regular season with Championship title

Going into halftime, the Owls had a nine point lead. From there they never looked back and had no less than a 10 point lead for the rest of the game.

It didn’t hurt that FAU and their fans were absolutely tenacious on the boards as each fan went home getting their fill of primo entertainment.

Both Brett Royster and Justin Davis celebrated before the game as graduating seniors of the 2011 class.

Davis goes into banking with a large banking firm and what’s next for Royster will be determined how the Owls do in the NIT and Sun-Belt Conference Championships plus maybe even in the NCAA’s.

FAU’s final stats of the game were 45% in both half’s for field goals, while Shavar Richardson, collected 19 points.

With Shavar being high scorer this night it is a sure bet that Coach Mike Jarvis will be able to use him for the post-season, possibly even liberally.

Kore White, provided 13 points for second highest scorer and is just a glimpse of what provides the way for him. “I felt like we were together, we did not let down and that’s why the results were the way they were.” explained White subsequent to the Victory.

“I just had a good week of practice so I came in confident and that I was just making my shot,” this was the lament from Shavar Richardson in the press Conference tonight.

“Every game has its own story. The psychology of the sport: winning leads to more winning when you lose you don’t lose a lot, its going to be important that it will be the same way on nights rest” said Coach Mike Jarvis after the game.

For Sunday, February 27th, the Owls will suit up for a game against South Alabama away.
