Owls generating wins on the Road, prepare early It was Greg Gantt, Raymond Taylor and Brett Royster who led the Owls to victory with seventeen, fourteen and ten points respectively. It appears that if FAU doesn’t produce numbers from their starters, they can always go to the bench.
Last season when the starters did not produce, their bench was devoid of more than three players. Coach Mike Jarvis only had 8 or less people to work with in any one game due to injury and ineligibility last season.
This years Owls present a brand new story, brand new players and a clear path of recruits and veterans. It’s just like Jarvis said last year, and his quote was, “Next year we’re going to have a bigger team, new bodies, stronger bodies, and we will be prepared to go.” View this video to see his forecast for the 2010-11 season.
Meanwhile Brett Royster blocked five shots, as Raymond Taylor collected 3 steals - Kore White pulled down 5 rebounds on the defenseive end. and Alex Tucker grabed 5 rebounds on the defensive end while chipping in 8 points for good measure.
No matter how much the team loves to play at home, an away game garners charachter and independance at times. Remember your first trip away from your family, and in this case the Owls family can be difficult to be away from with new surroundings and challenges.
