Owls defeat Big East USF Bulls Basketball
It would not be an exaggeration to say that USF was out of sorts for Coach Mike Jarvis’ game plan. In addition, the faithful would not allow their Owls to lose. The student body was well represented this night and further thanks were given by the Coaches and student athletes of the team for the support.

In front of a crowd of over 1,500, FAU doubled the field goal percentage compared to the Bulls in half number one. Going into the 1st half with a six point lead was a nice boost in keeping the momentum going, and surely a great pep talk resounded with the desired effect, as this no let up team were on a path to victory coming out of halftime.

Second leading scorer for the University of South Florida, Toarlyn Fitzpatrick with 8 mentions was all over the stats board this game versus the Owls of FAU.

In the losing effort, one might wonder if Toarlyn got the game ball for his effectiveness on the floor. Fitzpatrick went 2 for 4 from the field, 100% from the charity stripe, had two rebounds while playing a total of 11 minutes.

Team leader Alex Tucker went 6 for 9 from the field. On the free throw line he was a perfect 100% (7 for 7). He collected a total of five rebounds, had three assists and scored a game high 19 points.

Tucker was followed by Center Kore White with 11 points. White also collected 6 rebounds and played 31 minutes. Greg Gaant who was perfect from the foul line, had six rebounds, two steals, and 7 points.

USF suffered a technical foul where FAU did not. In the final minutes of the game, USF turned the ball over, and had 11 for the contest.
