FAU Owls fall short (2-1) in a pitching dual at ULL
Colby Gratton on a 1 for 2 effort batting on Friday, was responsible for the singular run in the third inning for the Owls. Like most teams who are more comfortable at home, pitcher Taylor Hubbell for ULL threw 5.0 innings with 5 strikeouts allowing 5 hits.

It goes without saying that the ULL defense was shored up on their part with only 1 error. FAU in turn collected two errors perhaps producing that extra run for the Rajun’ Cajuns.

The closer for the Cajuns was Joey Satriano who takes the win and his spot at 2-1 this season. Satriano pitched four innings giving up 2 hits, one walk and one strikeout.

Ryan Garton pitched 6.1 innings, collects the loss and is now at .500 on the season. With a 2-2 W/L, Garton surely looks forward to another opportunity on the hill. Josh Gonzaga pitched 1.2 innings with one strikeout, and faced 18 batters for FAU.

The Cajuns had three greater hits against the Owls with 8/5 margin facing ULL batters.

College is a training ground for potential Professionals at the next level. Professional baseball is at it again with their season beginning last week.

Your Coach is also from the area and was raised here. Modest and well read, John McCormack is the prototypical Coach who is effective and a roll model for his players. Let’s not forget the staff and everything that FAU does to put on sports at the University.
