January 31, 2011 -- Ken LaVicka started off the discussion with a few questions, fielded with great poise and understandability for Basketball and lay fans alike of Head Men’s Basketball Coach Mike Jarvis.
LaVicka mentioned where the broadcast can be found. Find it on ESPN 760, http://espn760.com/ and http://fausports.com/ for future events.
LaVicka, journalist for ESPN 760 and the Miami Dolphins, broadcaster for the FAU Owls Men’s basketball team and all around good guy displays his cyclopedic knowledge for the masses Monday night’s. You can also find LaVicka’s blog here: http://espn760.com/blogs/ken.php.

He went on to laud the fantastic job of the Marketing Department for it’s wildly fun and successful event with snow machines and ice over the weekend at FAU. Attendance this night, were filled with the ranks of Bill, Mia, Patricia, Lindsay, and Mike.
LaVicka went on interviewing Coach Jarvis, and spoke of the win over MTSU (Middle Tennessee State University) and loss to WKU (Western Kentucky University) over the slip sliding weekend. No pun intended.
Jarvis went on to discuss the game of Basketball as that of needing to make adjustments on the field of play, and that Basketball is a game of adjustments.
Coach Jarvis went to discuss the physical and intellectual rigor of a Basketball player at this level of game. He thanked Strength and Conditioning Coach Brian Remington for his tireless efforts to bring the team up to speed for the challenges of the season.
LaVicka went on to mention the game versus MTSU and point production of Ray Taylor. We found out about the “game within the game” for Ray this night, scoring 21 points.
Ray was challenged by MTSU guard James Washington, wherein Taylor was battle ready in this challenge of inter-conference foe friendliness.
Revisiting the conditioning angle, Coach Jarvis talked about the fact that there are only 30 games in a College Basketball season. You may draw a parallel to a rookie Professional hitting the proverbial wall, half way through the season and getting over that hump.
Jarvis went on to mention his excitement as the burrow is starting to fill in seats and is becoming a fun place to go. The show was concluded with a full house at Hooters Boca Raton.
